Today the color of the day is red. Red is associated with the root chakra. Root or Base Chakra exhibits the qualities of physical energy and vitality.
The color red is a color that represents physical energy, passion, courage, power, will, and desire. The Root Chakra promotes stability and grounding. Red is powerfully linked to our most primitive physical and emotional needs of survival and self preservation. It symbolizes energy, action, confidence, courage, and change. Red brings passion and strength to your relationships, your life and your work. When the root chakra is blocked, we may experience a lack of energy and vitality, depression, anxiety , fear, anger and frustration . Red spiritually effects stability, security, grounding, courage, action, physical and emotional survival. Red physically effects the adrenal glands, kidneys, spinal column, back, hips, legs and feet. If your immune system is slow-moving, the color red will give it a kick-start. It also increases fertility in both men and women. Not surprisingly, red may help menstrual problems, blood and the circulation, stop bleeding, heals rashes and wounds. Red stones offer protection, courage, vitality, stamina, and energy.
Three red-colored stones that are most common and easy to find are Carnelian, Garnet and Red Jasper.
Carnelian is associated with the root chakra and sacral chakras. It is also associated with the element of fire. It will normally be a deep orange or brownish-red color. Carnelian can be used to reveal past-life experiences which will help you on your spiritual path in this life. Use this stone with the intention of knowing yourself to the core and embracing all that you are on all levels. Carnelian the vibration of creativity to help you give birth to new projects. It acts as a catalyst to put things into motion. It is excellent for creative and artistic endeavors, performers, writers and public speakers. It helps with empowerment, boosts confidence and increases self-worth.
Garnet is directly associated with the root chakra, also with the element of fire. Garnet can be found in an array of colors ranging from black, green, orange, brown, yellow, red, or purple. The meaning described here will pertain to the red garnet. Garnet is a stone of awakening. It’s fiery nature inspires enlightenment and activates kundalini energy – a sleeping, dormant force holding all of human potential. This energy is naturally coiled at the base of the spine and it is quite powerful when activated. Garnet also possesses ability to increase your sensual energy. It also increases your ability to feel pleasure and attract love and material prosperity.
Red Jasper is associated with the root and sacral chakra and with the elements of earth and fire. Red Jasper holds a high vibration for spiritual discipline and therefore helps you clear you mind. It is a stone of courage and self-discipline. It keeps you moving during times of challenge and turbulence and keeps you feeling steady and able to move forward. It helps you in being mindful during prayer and contemplation and increases your endurance and focus during long spiritual ceremonies and practices. This stone is a good reminder to stay focused when establishing a new spiritual discipline. Red jasper can be used to connect with the Archangel Ariel. Red Jasper promotes grounding, accelerates healing and replenishes your energy field.
